DMCA takedown notice (template)
Use: When you find unauthorized use of Mailbox content on a platform (YouTube, Substack, etc.). File with the platform’s copyright / DMCA form — not only a DM to the creator.
For new teammates: This is for platform copyright forms (YouTube, Substack, etc.), not a nastygram CC’d to the creator alone. If the platform shows a counter-notice workflow, stop and get counsel.
Why this exists
Unauthorized republication can outrun polite DMs. A proper notice creates a timestamped record with the host and aligns with how § 6 and enforcement are described publicly. Wording must match what counsel approves and what appears in Terms for the DMCA agent.
Example (fill pattern)
Work: “Public letter titled ‘…’ (ID abc123), last seen at https://dearnobody.org/…”. Infringement: full watch page URL(s). Keep screenshots in Drive under an enforcement folder if your workflow uses one.
Target: File within 5–7 business days of discovery when appropriate. Counter-notice → involve counsel.
Fill in all [brackets]. You are filing as Intelliquinte L.L.C., operator of Dear Nobody, with rights under the license in your Terms of Service (Section 6) — counsel should confirm final wording.
